Sebastian showed Nana Sheila and Grampa Jack one of his new favorite places this weekend. This toddler only park is great!
Last week, Sebastian went to the beach for the first time. He loved running in the sand, but wasn't too sure about the cold water on his toes.

Sebastian had his 18 month checkup yesterday. It provided more proof that he is a BIG (but nicely proportional) kid.
Height = 35.5 inches / 89 cm (and honestly, I'm not sure his leg was straight - he might be a bit taller than that)
Weight = 31.5 lbs / 14.3 kg
Head Circumference = 49cm
He is taller than 97% of kids his age and weighs more than 96% of kids his age. Neither of these facts are surprising when you see him with some of the other kids at daycare. He looks more like the kids in the Toddler 2 class (generally 2+-3.5 years old) or Pre-K1 (3.5+) than the kids in Toddler 1 (1+ - 2.5 years). Sebastian handled the vaccinations well, but was REALLY upset by the finger-prick blood test. Weight = 31.5 lbs / 14.3 kg

Sometimes, Sebastian looks so grown up. Today, in the car on the way to daycare, was one of those times.
Sebastian decided to show his independence this morning by removing his own sleep sack. It involves unzipping a long zipper and wriggling out. I have no idea how he did it. This is how he looked when I went in to get him this morning.
