Beach Party

Every winter, Sebastian's school has a mid-winter beach party. The play with summer toys (indoors), have a indoor picnic lunch in the common space and listen to the Beach Boys.

Last year, there was so much snow and ice that at beach party time, the kids had not been able to go outside for weeks. This year has been abnormally nice - today is supposed to reach 57F / 14C.

Some of the kids have really embraced the warm weather/beach party combo. You can see on of Sebastian's classmates decided to wear her bathing suit today!

Errands with Nana and Grampa

It is getting harder to do simple errands with Sebastian. He's no longer content to just ride around in a shopping cart and look around. He wants to DO things.

Sometimes we do errands with Nana and Grampa. They make it more fun, especially when they play epic games of 'Where's Sebastian'.

I wish these photos captured the giggles from this morning. I'm not sure when I've heard my parents laugh quite this much.

Phileas

Sebastian has recently become very fond of a bear given to him by his great aunt Kate. We call him (as in Fogg) because he took a rather circuitous route to get here.

Morning!

Most mornings, Sebastian spends a few minutes checking out his bathroom before breakfast. I'm not sure why, but it is really cute.

Robot

I'm a huge fan of vacuuming robots (because I am not a fan of doing housework).

Sebastian is clearly also a fan. He often asks for 'Robot'. Sometimes our floors get cleaned 2 or 3 times a day!

It can be a little annoying that he wants something SO much, but we can't really complain if something is entertaining our child and cleaning the floors, allowing us to enjoy a cup of coffee.

Not to worry, Sebastian's love of Robot isn't keeping him from lots of running, building, ball play and active kid stuff.

The robot in question is the Neato-xv 11. We recommend it unconditionally. It's laser navigation is super cool.

Bath

Sebastian LOVES everything about his bathroom. He enjoys climbing into the tub at every opportunity. Sometimes, it is particularly inconvenient.

Sorry!

We've gotten very behind in posting. Life just got busy and in the way. We're going to try to catch up tonight.

2nd Birthday!

Sebastian celebrated his birthday with lots of family. He still isn't keen on cake but he did enjoy a celebratory biscuit instead.

He especially had fun playing with his cousin Erin!

Christmas 2011

An assortment of photos from Christmas. We spent it in England this year with Grandad and Nan.

Although it might be a little while before we return altogether, as flying with a toddler is a little challenging. There are just not enough things on a plane to entertain the little chap for 7+ hours. Not to worry, you can all come to visit us instead!
