Blackboard

Sebastian hasn't been too interested in drawing or colouring to date. Really he wouldn't sit still long enough to try. So, we thought he might prefer to stand and use a blackboard instead.

Phil built the blackboard over a couple of evenings, it's designed with an energetic toddler in mind.

Sebastian watched us use it a couple of times and this Monday morning made a beeline for it and started scribbling away. Success!

Holland!

School operates on a first name basis, so I'm not sure if anyone got the joke. But we thought it was pretty funny.

A Gentle Stroll at the Park

We spent time last weekend with nana and grampa at one of our favorite parks.

Another child brought a doll in a toy stroller. She was kind enough to let Sebastian take it around for a spin. At one point, he stopped walking to watch players on a nearby tennis court. And while he wasn't walking, he pushed the stroller gently backwards and forwards - just like we do to keep him happy (especially when he was very little). we were very impressed with his gentleness.

I asked him if he was practicing to take his cousin on walks. He didn't answer me, but he did smile.

Drop Off

We often mention how much we all love Sebastian's school.

We took this photo roughly 15 seconds after arriving one day. No drop off drama - he always just settles in to play with his friends or read.

Max

Sebastian is getting more and more gentle with Max. He has also decided that feeding the cats is his job. He is very dedicated. We worry what the vet will say when she sees how much Tux enjoys Sebastian's dedication.
