He REALLY wanted to go out for a walk during this evening severe thunderstorms. I wasn't going to do that. I thought letting him stand on the deck for a moment would help to explain that it was too wet to go out for a walk. Nope. He loved it.
The amount of ferocity of the storm isn't clear in the photos. But it was very seriously raining.
He participated in a little dress-up (which I've never seen him do before). Another little boy put a beekeepers hat on Sebastian's head. Sebastian took it off after a few moments, but put it back on his own head later on.
Sebastian's interest in the real human skeleton impressed on of the volunteers, until I explained that the nice cabinet he was allowed to open and shut was probably the draw. We've been talking a lot about body parts recently ('what's this?','that is your hand', 'what's this?', 'that is your ankle', etc). Sebastian asked as he touched the hand, leg and foot bones. And I answered. He knows all of those words and parts of his own body. I have no clue what he thought of it all.
Sebastian also thought the pneumatic system transporting canisters across the loft was pretty cool.
Sebastian is now old enough to enjoy one of our favorite places, The Museum of Science. We think it is a great place to spend a few hours when it is too rainy to be outside.
So far, one of Sebastian's favorite exhibits is Physics in the Park. It has spinning (which I avoid at the actual park when it is big and I have to do it with him - too dizzying), balls that roll down tracks, swings and running around is encouraged.
We've only remembered the suggested attire a few times. But I remembered today! I think Sebastian looked pretty dapper in his stripies today, and they were a good match for the crazy heat wave we're having.
Sebastian once again did not eat the pizza. I'm always amazed that he has no interest in this classic kid food.
